- A welcome party will be arranged in the first evening of the Conference.
- The Banquet will be held on Thursday (19.00-21.00) on board of a boat cruising on the Danube. The price of the program is EUR 30/person. This program is not included in either of the registration fees. Application can be made on the enclosed registration form, simply ticking the appropriate box.
Participants are encouraged to bring their spouses to Budapest. Companions, paying the accompanying persons' registration fee, are invited to take join the welcome party.
Additionally two more tours are to be offered. A sightseeing tour in Budapest This will be half day guided sightseeing tours in Budapest by bus, organized in the beginning of the meeting enabling companions to get acquainted with the city. Among the lots of famous sights the following places will be visited: Heroes' Square, Castle, Matthias Church, Gellért Hill, Citadel, etc. Excursion to Gödöllő Half a day guided excursion by bus to a historical town near Budapest. The town's greatest treasure and draw for tourists is its 250 year-old Royal Palace. The visitors can see the living quarters of Emperor Franz Josef and Empress Elizabeth (Sissi), and the newly renovated palm-house, holding ornamental plants on exhibition.
Optional Excursion to the Danube Bend (min. 15 persons) Full day guided excursion by bus in the Danube bend on Saturday in the surroundings of Budapest. The following places will be visited:
- Esztergom: Basilica, the oldest royal and ecclesiastical residence,
- Visegrád: Fortress, ruins of the Castle,
- Szentendre: Village Museum, Old town, Margit Kovács Museum.
Lunch will be served in Visegrád. The programme is not included in the registration fee. Price: EUR 50 /person
Accommodation in a three-star hotel in single rooms, 2 lunches, entry tickets will be included in the price. Dinner will be optional.
The 2-day-time excursion by bus, on Saturday and Sunday with a rich programme in the region by visiting some examples of Hungarian architecture, the sight of expansive beech and oak forests, the majestic grey basalt rocks, and the wild-flower meadow.
Saturday: Sightseeing in Miskolc, Lillafüred, Well-known caves of Bükk, Health Spa in Miskolc-Tapolca
Sunday: Visiting Eger (historic town, castle), Szalajka waterfall
