Forming the future Innovations in Sheet Metal Forming - 21-23 May 2007 - Győr, Hungary
The Hungarian Deep-drawing Research Group (HDDRG) cordially invites you to the IDDRG 2007 Conference to be held in Hungary between 21-23 May 2007. This is the third time that Hungary will host this outstanding event of sheet metal community of the World: the first IDDRG meeting in Hungary was held in Budapest in 1989 as a Working Group meeting. In 1996, a memorable Biennial World Congress was held in Eger. The structure of IDDRG events was changed in 2003: since then IDDRG Conferences are organised annually. The main goal of these IDDRG meetings is to bring together scientists, researchers and industrialists from all over the World working on sheet metal forming and to provide an open and scientifically inspiring forum for discussing the most relevant and challenging topics of sheet metal forming today. The Organising Committee of IDDRG 2007 together with the organising partners cordially invites you and your co-workers to attend and to contribute to the success of this traditional and highly acknowledged International Conference.

Győr is the main headquarter of Audi
Hungaria Co., where the conference is planned to be held. Audi Hungaria is one of the
leading multinational car manufacturers in Hungary opened here in 1994. Audi Hungaria is the main producer
of four-, six- and eight cylinders Audi engines used also in Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda
automobiles. Győr is the only place where Audi TT sport cars are produced.
Abstracts: One page abstract should be submitted electronically to the Conference Secretariate at the Homepage of the Conference by e-mail as a Word attachment to diamond@diamond-congress.hu . Full contributions. Two forms are accepted: A maximum 8 pages long full paper, or extended (2 pages) abstract together with transparencies (two slides per pages altogether not more than 8 pages, too). Download

All participants are kindly requested to register in the online database, filling in the personal details and selecting the appropriate registration category. Deadline for the payment of the early registration fee is 15 March, 2007. All participants will receive confirmation on registration and hotel reservation, but you are able to check your own payment and reservation status in your personal records.

Registrations and hotel reservations will be acknowledged in writing. Official receipt for fees paid by the participants will be handed over on site upon registration. Congress bureau Diamond Congress Ltd. is responsible for collection of all charges; hence all financial issues are handled and confirmed by the congress bureau. On site registration fees, hotel charges and optional programmes can be paid in cash in convertible currency or in Hungarian Forint. Besides, credit cards listed above will be accepted. The organisers regret that personal cheques and Eurocheques cannot be accepted.
CANCELLATION POLICY Cancallations are accepted only in writing. In case of cancellation of registration and hotel reservation received till 1 April 2007, the refund is 100%. From 1 April 2007 registration fees and hotel deposit is not refundable.
As an integral part of IDDRG 2007 Conference, a technical exhibition will be organized for the promotion of services, technology, products in the field of sheet metal forming and related engineering activities. Companies exhibiting Computer Aided Engineering techniques (CAD/CAM packages, FEM programs) or strain analysis and measurement systems are particularly welcome, together other fields of interest related to sheet metal manufacturing. The exhibition will take place at the corridors of the Audi Conference Centre, as well as next to the coffee break and lunch area and session rooms. Tea and coffee will be served within the exhibition area, thus ensuring maximum contact between exhibitors and delegates. Each exhibiting company/organization will receive a listing and brief description of exhibiting company’s services and products in the Final Program Book. Each exhibiting company/organization will receive acknowledgement in all printed Conference materials including the Final Program and the Conference registration area. Booth Exhibition Space: Exhibition booths established from standard Octanorm Exhibition System will be provided as unit stands in different sizes. Standard booth sizes are from 4, 6, 8 and 10 m2. Unit stands include information desk with white side and back walls, 1 interview table with chairs, spotlights, and electrical supply as full service. Internet and computer network connections are also available in the exhibition area. Special exhibition request may be fulfilled on request. Price of Exhibition area with full service: 300 €/ m2. The full service exhibition cost contains 1 full Conference Registration for one person. Additional registrations can be purchased according to conference participants’ registration fees. The City of Győr is located close to the Austro-Hungarian border with easy availability by flights from all over the world (Ferihegy Airport in Budapest, Schwechat Airport in Vienna provide flight connections to any major airports in the world). Due to its favourable geographic location, it can also be reached very comfortably from most European cities on motorway.
Practical information for traveling by train between Budapest and Győr Participants arriving at either terminals (Ferihegy 1, 2A or 2B) of Budapest International Airport are advised to use the Airport Minibus shuttle service which takes one to any address in Budapest for a fee of 2300 HUF/person (cca 9 EUR). We do not really suggest buying a return ticket for the minibus shuttle as on the way back it is difficult to find a meeting point within the railway station and the minibus waits only for 10 minutes for their passengers. It takes appr. 30-45 min. from the airport to the city. As an alternative, one can use public bus service (line 200) which connects both terminals with the underground (metro) line 3 (blue line). The blue line of the metro has a stop at "Deak Square" where one can change to the metro line 2 (red line) which has a stop at Keleti Railway station. (Most trains depart from this station) Price approx.: 500 - 700 HUF/person (cc. 2-3 EUR), depends on number of changes. Taxis to or from the city cost approximately 4000–4500 HUF (16–20 EUR) for a one way trip. Public transportation network.
According to the TRAIN SCHEDULE - you can see that most of the trains depart from and arrive at Keleti Railway station. Sign code: Black color: slow train (do not choose it!) Red color: fast train without seat reservation Blue color: fast train with seat reservation. (so called InterCity /IC/ trains, seat reservation is mandatory!) It is shown on the time table with letter "R". Letter "P" is similar to an Intercity train, but coming and going to Austria. You have to buy a seat booking ticket as well, but this will not show the seat number. You can seat wherever you would like to. At Keleti station cashiers can be found on level -1. Trains depart from level 0. If you know exactly your schedule, it is worthwhile to buy return tickets with seat bookings or at least without seat booking. (return tickets are valid for 1 month, seat reservation can be cancelled 1 hour before departure and can be bought separately as well) In order to make the ticket purchase easier and avoid any language problems (although there should not be any) better to write down and show it at the cashier’s desk: eg. Budapest – Győr – Budapest (this is the return ticket itself) Majus 20 (seat reservation to Győr) Budapest - Győr IC 15.39 Majus 23 (seat reservation from Győr) Győr - Budapest IC 16.22 After arriving in Győr, we would suggest to take a local taxi, which takes you to your hotel. Exact hotel address can be found on the conference website, but normally the name of the hotel should be enough.
Accommodation has been reserved for conference participants and their companions in Budapest in hotels of various categories as near as possible to the conference venue, as listed below. In order to reserve accommodation, please reserve your room in the online database for Registration & Hotel Reservation before 1 April, 2007. Since May is a high season for tourism in Hungary, you are asked to arrange your booking as soon as possible. It should be emphasized that the organisers cannot be held responsible for accommodation that has been reserved and not used that is why reservation deposit is necessary. The reservation system will not offer dates prior to 20 and after 23 May 2007. Weather information: the weather in May is usually very nice in Hungary. The average daytime temperature is between 20 to 25 degrees centigrade. Medium spring-time clothing is recommended. During the Conference several social programs will be organised:
Accompanying person's programme Due to lack of interest, this tour has been cancelled. Participants are encouraged to bring their spouses to Győr. Companions, paying the accompanying persons’ registration fee, are invited to join the following events:
Pannonhalma ( listed UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site ) During the trip the participants will visit the Benedictine Abbey in Pannonhalma, the Monastery the Abbey Library too. Guided sightseeing tour and lunch in a local restaurant is included in the programme. Package price: 150 euro/person

A new press-shop for car body panels and an 18,000 m2
new tool manufacturing plant was built and opened here, in September 2005. This new tool
plant is the main supplier of forming tool departments of all Audi plants in Europe
including Germany, as well.
