Organized Transportation to Kecskemét
Shuttle buses will be available from the Liszt Ferenc Airport of Budapest to Kecskemét on 11th and on 14th of September. Price: 35 EUR/person/trip

In order to ensure your place the reservation should be made online as soon as possible, and pre-payment is necessary. This can be done after login and selecting ‘Optional Program’ from the left menu for those who have already registered and selected their registration fee category. The meeting point in all cases is Terminal 2 SkyCourt which connects the arrival corridors of the two terminals (2A and 2B). English speaking colleagues will be there to collect you.
The shuttle (the ride is about one hour from the airport) is not included in the registration fees.

Travel to Budapest
There are daily direct flights from most European and from some North American cities. Liszt Ferenc Airport is situated on the SE margin of Budapest, 20 km from the city centre and is a popular destination for many low fare air carriers. The Airport Minibus service is relatively cheap and reliable. Public transport buses (#200E, air conditioned) circulate between the terminals and the Kőbánya-Kispest terminal of the Metro line 3 (“blue line”) at 8-15-minute intervals in daytime. Főtaxi has exclusive rights for operation of a taxi service from (and to) the airport for fixed prices according to distance zones (hence the name) based on a contract with Budapest Airport Ltd.
Travel to Kecskemét by train
Most trains towards Kecskemét leave from Nyugati railway station (pályaudvar). You can reach the station with public transport by taking the bus line 200E, continue with the M3 (blue) metro line until Nyugati pályaudvar.
If you do not want to go to the downtown then trains are leaving from the Liszt Ferenc Airport Terminal 1 in every hour. You can reach this terminal by taxi or by bus Nr. 200E. The airport used to known as “Ferihegy”, so please use this name when you are looking for trains to Kecskemét.

Travel to Kecskemét by car
Several well known car rental companies are accessible at the terminals of the airport. Kecskemét is well accessible by car. If arriving from Budapest, take the M5 motorway till the exit at 86 km and continue on route 52 towards Kecskemét.

Visa information for Hungary
Hungary is part of the Schengen Area of 25 European countries. For non-Schengen EU, USA and Canadian citizens a valid passport is sufficient to enter Hungary. Citizens of other countries should check whether visa is needed for them when entering Hungary (for more information please visit the home page of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary). On request, the Organizing Committee will issue invitation letters for visa applications. Please apply in due time for a visa if necessary. Please indicate during the registration if you need a personal invitation to attend the conference. It is important to note that a visa is only a preliminary permission for entry, which does not authorise its bearer automatically to enter the country.
