Short introduction

Dr. Henriett Éva Hirdi PhD is the President of the Federation of Occupational Health Nurses within the European Union (FOHNEU) since 2016. She joined FOHNEU at the Board Meeting in Bilbao 2008 as the first national representative for Hungary. At the Budapest Board Meeting 2010, Henriett was elected as FOHNEU Vice President, a position she held for 3 years. She also serves as Vice President of the Council of Hungarian Health Professionals (CHHP) from 2010 and also as Chief-Editor of Nővér, the Hungarian Journal of Nursing Theory and Practice. She is a Master Clinical Lecturer of Semmelweis University. In parallel with her executive career, Henriett has been a member of various nursing and health related committees. She qualified as a general nurse in 1995 and as a BSc Nurse in 2001. This was followed by a BSc in Health Care/Service Management in 2003, and a MSc in Nursing in 2004, and a MSc in Legal Studies for Medical and Health Care Graduates. She also qualified as an Occupational Health Nurse Specialist. She received her PhD from the Semmelweis University in 2015. The development of Occupational Health Nursing in Hungary was the topic of her PhD thesis. She has 20+ years of experience in Occupational Health Nursing.
