Short introduction

Zoltan Balogh RN MSc, PhD is originally Registered Nurse, and Physiotherapist. After his graduation of BSc degrees he started to learn at the Exeter University, UK. He graduated in MSc Health Care: Professional Education in 1998. His scientific work is a nursing education, community and home care nursing and rehabilitation, health care professionals’ safety, patient satisfaction. He finished doctoral program in 2008. His PhD thesis was Developing Nurse Training in the Field of Community Nursing. He is College Professor and he is a Head of the Department of Nursing at the Semmelweis University Faculty of Health Sciences from 1st of July 2009. He has 28-year work experiments. He is an elected President of the Chamber of Hungarian Health Care Professionals since 2004. The Chamber is a regulatory professional organization with obligatory membership. He was the Vice-president (2000-2003), and the President (2003-2006) of the Hungarian Nursing Association. He represented the Hungarian nurses in the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and in the European Federation of Nurses (EFN). He is an EU expert in Nursing Higher Education. He attended the TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange) expert mission, which is preparing Croatia’s joining to the EU in 2013.
